PRESS RELEASE

The Country Crafts Guild will host its annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Rock Hall Fire House on Rt. 20 in Rock Hall, MD.

Show hours are 10 AM to 4 PM.  Proceeds from the $2.00 admission will benefit the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company.  Children under 10 are admitted free.  Refreshments and lunch will be available.

The Fire House will be filled with the wide variety of crafts on display by more than 25 juried Country Crafts Guild members.  Handmade collectibles such as house plaques and figurines, pottery lamps, vases and dishes, quilts, wall hangings and placemats, garden art, pvc pipe birds and folk art will be available as will dried and silk flower wreaths, decorative crosses, paper crafts, decorative bulletin boards, stuffed animals and framed photographs and photo albums.  Potpourri, herbs, teas, machine embroidery tissue boxes, baskets and table linens will also be on display.

Wearable art such as knit hats and fancy scarves and bead, clay, silver, sea glass, metal and gemstone jewelry will also be available along with fresh flowers and plants,  quilt racks, handmade candy and handmade soaps, bath oils, and lotions.

New crafts this spring are decorative pillow cases, lacey Easter eggs, inspirational art, primitive folk art, cloth dolls, sea glass frames, hand knit dog sweaters, yoga bags, sea shell crafts, decorative gourd bird houses, bird feeders, purple martin houses and butterfly houses.

Demonstrations of many craft techniques will be held during the show and the Rock Hall Fire Company Auxiliary will be selling homemade baked goods.

The wide variety of crafts and the outstanding workmanship make the Country Crafts Guild Spring Arts and Crafts Show the perfect place to celebrate spring and to purchase Easter flowers, Easter candy and gifts.

The Country Crafts Guild, founded in June 1983, is an organization whose purpose is to promote the appreciation of hand crafted items and original artwork.  Two shows are held each year – a Spring Show, held the last Saturday in March, and a Fall Show, held Thanksgiving Weekend.  We are currently seeking new members who make unique arts and crafts.
